Dr. Kendra Sims grew up in Worcester, MA where she was always doing something with animals. It began as a young girl by painting the nails of the family dog and showering him with love. She later cared for the bird dogs her father used hunting. She eventually participated in competitive horseback riding all the way thru the collegiate level. While obtaining her BS at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in pre-veterinary studies she became involved with the local dairy community. It was there that she learned the impact a veterinarian can have on farm. At that point, with her exposure to all sorts of animals, and realizing the impact she could have, she knew she’d found her calling. Dr. Sims obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Her professional interests include companion animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound and radiology. On her days off you can find her fishing, hiking, gardening or reading a good book. Dr. Sims resides in Perry, NY with her fiancé Zach and their dog Roskoe and cats Remy and Minnow.
